Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has tabled a Notice of Motion calling on the NSW Government to back our paramedics in their calls for a fair pay deal.
Mr Ward has condemned NSW Labor for failing to work with NSW paramedics which has resulted in industrial action that could have been avoided.
"Our paramedics do an incredible job. They are tireless, they are dedicated, and they deserve our support," Mr Ward said.
"The NSW Government has let down our paramedics for failing to negotiate in good faith. They made a lot of promises but they have failed to deliver for our paramedics.
"Having spoken with paramedics from across our region, I know they want to focus on serving our community and they feel let down by NSW Labor who promised a better deal and fairer deal which has not materialised.
"Many paramedics are struggling to live in the communities they serve as the cost-of-living crisis grows under NSW Labor.
"To date, the NSW Government has failed some of our most dedicated and passionate front line public servants.
"I will always fight to support our paramedics. We need to stand up for them so that they can be there for us," Mr Ward concluded.
