Petition to Save David Berry Hospital

To the Speaker and Members of the Legislatve Assembly of New South Wales.
The petition of citizens in the State of New South Wales brings to the attention
of the House:

The David Berry Hospital and its lands were a bequest left to the people of
Berry in accordance with the David Berry Hospital Act 1906 No 53. David Berry
Hospital was and remains a gift to the people of Berry and New South Wales.

The New South Wales Government is currently determining its position on the
future of the hospital and its said lands. No community consultation has
occurred. Palliative Care and rehabilitation services will be relocated to
Shoalhaven Hospital in 2025.

The undersigned petitioners therefore ask the Legislative Assembly to preserve
the heritage of Berry, David Berry Hospital and its lands and, calls on the New
South Wales Government to rule out its sale.
