Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has today called on Premier Chris Minns and the NSW Labor Government to deliver for our region in the State Budget.
“Having secured and delivered more than $3 billion in infrastructure for our region, I know how hard it is to gain commitments and get things done,” Mr Ward said.
“With so much growth earmarked for our region, we need the infrastructure to go with it. Labor MPs made promises at the last State election and these promises need to be kept.
“After cutting regional services by axing the Regional Seniors Travel Card, the Active Kids rebate and axing regional tourism programs, now is the time for local Labor MPs to prove their worth and deliver on their promises.
Some of the things Mr Ward will be looking for in this budget include:
“Labor arrogantly see themselves as Illawarra royalty. Now that they are in government, let’s see what they deliver for the region. I’m very proud of my record in government – but what will Labor actually deliver,” Mr Ward concluded.
