Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has today welcomed an additional six police to the South Coast Police District.
“Six of the NSW Police Force’s finest officers will be joining the South Coast Police District during a time when our local communities have relied heavily on their local police for many months,” Mr Ward said.
“These additional six positions will make a real difference to the NSW Police Force and give them a greater capability to keep our South Coast district, and our State, safe during an extremely difficult COVID lockdown period.
“On behalf of our local community, I am very pleased to be able to welcome our newest Police officers to the South Coast Police District.
“I am pleased to see that the NSW Government is investing $583 million to introduce 1,500 extra Police over four years to enhance community safety across New South Wales,” Mr Ward said.
