More paperwork and less lifesaving work: Ward opposes RFS-SES merger
Independent Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has written to the NSW Premier outlining his opposition to the proposed merger of the Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service.
We the undersigned are opposed to the proposed merger of the Rural Fire Service and the State Emergency Service.
We do not support volunteers carrying a greater administrative burden.
We also do not support regional jobs being cut from the State Emergency Services Headquarters based in Wollongong.
