Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has presented funding to St Paul's Catholic Church in Albion Park to go towards the installation and supply of solar panels on the church and presbytery.
“I am extremely pleased to have secured this funding for St Paul’s Catholic Church in Albion Park,” Mr Ward said.
“Ever since my election in 2011, I have enjoyed working closely with the church and parish community more broadly.
“I love getting things done for our local community and I want to thank all those who signed the petition to help me make the strongest possible case to secure these important funds,” he said.
“The Albion Park Parish has been serving the community since 1867 and I am honoured to have been able to deliver this funding to help the church continue its good works.
“I would like to acknowledge Mrs Linda O'Rourke and other parish volunteers for advocating for this funding and for helping to organise this visit and announcement, as well as Fr Leo Duck for his homily,” Mr Ward concluded.
