Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has presented funding to representatives from the North Nowra Cambewarra Cricket Club Inc for the purchase of a new roller.

Mr Ward was joined at this announcement at Bernie Regan Sporting Complex in North Nowra by Cricket Club President Justin Weller and Club Secretary Eleysha Weller during his on-site visit and funding announcement.

“I was extremely pleased to be able to secure this funding under the New South Wales Government’s Community Building Partnerships program,” he said.

“This funding will go towards the purchase of a new roller to replace the existing one which has deteriorated due to its old age and was proving very costly for the club to repair constantly.

“The North Nowra Cambewarra Cricket Club Inc was first formed in 1991 and incorporated in 1994. So this season is the Club’s 31st season. The club is a member of the Shoalhaven District Cricket Association and also the Shoalhaven District Junior Cricket Association.

“I would like to acknowledge the Club President Justin Weller and Secretary Eleysha Weller and the amazing committee members and club volunteers who have all been tireless advocates for this great local cricket club,” Mr Ward said.

Mr Justin Weller, President of North Nowra Cambewarra Cricket Club also welcomed this funding announcement.

“On behalf of North Nowra Cambewarra Cricket Club, I would like to say thank you to our local MP Gareth Ward for helping secure this funding to purchase a new roller,” Justin said.

“We greatly appreciate the work Gareth has done in helping us get this funding. It was a pleasure working with him and we look forward to working with him in the future,” Mr Weller concluded.
