Funding for Albion Park Touch Football Association

Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has presented funding to the Albion Park Touch Football Association to go towards the purchase and installation of a PA system at the touch football amenities block at Albion Oval.

Mr Ward said that he was extremely pleased to be able to secure this funding under the New South Wales Government’s Community Building Partnerships program.

“I am extremely pleased to have secured this funding for a PA system. This comes in addition to funding I secured previously about twelve months ago for the purchase of two portable gazebos to provide more shade on game days,” he said.

“Albion Park Touch Football Association commenced in 1978 so is now in its 43rd year and is affiliated with NSW Touch Football,” he said.

“They have a relatively young Committee which is enthusiastic and really striving to reinvigorate touch football in Albion Park which is absolutely fantastic to see.

“I would like to acknowledge the Administrator Cody Hutchison and Treasurer Jodie Lambert for advocating for this funding and for helping to organise this visit and announcement today,” Mr Ward said.

President Cody Hutchison from Albion Park Touch Football Association also welcomed the funding.

“We appreciate the efforts of our local Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP in helping to secure this funding from the New South Wales Government. It is very much appreciated,” Cody said.

“We as a Committee are striving to improve the Touch Football experience at Albion Park and the purchase and installation of this PA system is a terrific addition for our local touch footy association,” Mr Hutchison said.
