Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has today condemned disgraceful acts of graffiti with a violent message that was painted on a section of the Berry to Bomaderry upgrade.
“This is a disgraceful act of defacing public property. Regardless of your personal views on vaccinations or lockdowns – there is just no excuse for this type of deplorable and unacceptable behaviour,” Mr Ward said.
“There are also heavy fines and penalties in place for people who are apprehended for these type of offences.
“I would encourage anybody who knows the people responsible to report this type of graffiti to NSW Police.
“Having worked so hard to secure these investments, it breaks my heart to see public property used in this way. The Graffiti Control Act contains provisions for people to clean up the mess they have created. If these clowns are caught, I encourage law enforcement to set them to work on this site and others around our region. This behaviour is not on,” Mr Ward concluded.
