Member for Kiama Gareth Ward is encouraging locals to apply to join the 24-Hour Economy Advisory Council which is seeking Expressions of Interest applications from members of the community.
“As a musician and a former band member, people want vibrant local communities and I want to see our region represented on this advisory council,” Mr Ward said.
“Whilst I know the NSW Government has an obsession with Sydney, regional representation on this advisory council is a must and I hope we see lots of strong applications from people who have experience in the sector from regional NSW.
The 24-Hour Economy Advisory Council holds significant influence in structuring the future of New South Wales night-time economy to ensure that it is an energetic, lively and safe environment for the community. This presents an opportunity for you to actively participate in advancing the night-time economy, implementing inventive projects and boosting our goals and objectives.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to become involved with the night-time economy and to provide valuable feedback to the NSW Government.
“I encourage passionate members of the community to take advantage of this opportunity in shaping the State’s vision for the night-time economy,’’ Mr Ward concluded.
