Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has today welcomed the completion of upgrade and extension of the Kevin Walsh Oval Amenities, following a $1,088,528 grant from the NSW Government to undertake the project in conjunction with Kiama Municipal Council which contributed $362,843 to this upgrade.
Mr Ward joined with the Mayor of Kiama Clr Mark Honey to officially open the upgraded Jamberoo Sporting Precinct.
"I am very pleased to support our community in upgrading the facilities at Kevin Walsh Oval to support local sporting events into the future.
"These grounds are used by many people in our community and I am thrilled that we are continuing to deliver for our region," Mr Ward concluded.
The Mayor of Kiama Clr Mark Honey said the new facility were a valued upgrade for Jamberoo locals.
"It is fantastic to see what were long considered the worst amenities in our municipality become the jewel in the crown of the upgraded Jamberoo Sporting Precinct," he said.
