Mr Ward said that the theme of this year’s Small Business Month is ‘Rebuild, Recharge, Renew’.

“The festival will feature events focused on helping small business owners rebuild following the COVID-19 pandemic and will include local Councils, local business chambers, industry associations and local not-for-profit organisations,” he said.

“There are more than 800,000 small businesses in New South Wales employing over 1.6 million people and who contribute $400 billion to our State’s economy each year.

“There are currently well over 5,000 small businesses which are an integral part of our local towns and villages across the Kiama electorate, forming an important part of the social fabric and a place where our local community bonds are strengthened.

“A wide array of in-person and online events during Small Business Month will be available to local small business owners across our region, and the calendar of events will provide them with new skills, ideas and networks to navigate the challenging economic environment,” Mr Ward said.
