Oak Flats Interchange
We the undersigned call on the Minister for Regional Transport and Roads the Hon Sam Farraway MLC to commission an independent audit of the Oak Flats Interchange.
Traffic volumes and waiting times have increased since traffic lights were installed on the roundabout at the interchange for the Princes Motorway, Princes Highway, New Lake Entrance Road and East West Link.
The auditor chosen must be independent of Transport for NSW. As part of this audit, other options and solutions should be considered alongside and in addition to the existing treatment to see if there are safer options for traffic management at this intersection of the road network. This audit should also examine the removal of these lights altogether along with possible benefits and costs.
