KIAMA WINS TOP TOURISM AWARD

Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has today expressed his excitement and congratulations on Kiama winning the highly acclaimed 2024 NSW Top Tourism Town Awards.

“This is very exciting news for our region; and it reaffirms Kiama’s standing as a much loved and admired travel destination,” Mr Ward said.

Mr Ward has also congratulated Matt Brown as Chair of Destination Kiama.

“Matt has been doing a stellar and important job for many years now promoting our region and its many attractions – Matt has also worked hard with the local community, and I acknowledge his outstanding contribution,” he said.

The award from Business NSW recognised Kiama for outstanding appeal, high quality visitor experience, sustainable tourism and effective marketing.

“Kiama has the most stunning and best beaches in NSW, a beautiful coastline, some excellent nature spots, outstanding overnight accommodation, an excellent live music scene and some amazingly talented artists which also tie into the volunteering and community spirit which Kiama is well-renown for.

“So once again I congratulate the Destination Kiama committee and Kiama Municipal Council on Kiama winning this prestigious top tourism town award,” Mr Ward concluded.
