COVID Survey Results Released

Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has today released the results of his COVID survey which was undertaken the week commencing 20th September. More than 3,300 people completed the survey.

“The poll indicates that 71% of respondents were fully vaccinated, 24% were not fully vaccinated and 6% didn’t wish to disclose,” Mr Ward said.

“33% of respondents felt the vaccine should be mandatory with 30% of people thinking the vaccine should be optional but people should have it. 22% of people thought that no one should be forced to have a vaccination.

“41% of people thought it didn’t matter which vaccine people had whilst 56% of respondents supported vaccine passports.

“With respect to reopening, the most popular response was 35% of people felt that the State should reopen when 80% of people are fully vaccinated whilst unvaccinated people should be subject to the stay at home rules,” Mr Ward concluded.
