Boost For Kiama Integrated Primary And Community Health Centre

Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has today announced a $143,000 funding boost for the Kiama Integrated Primary and Community Health Centre.

Mr Ward said he was very pleased to secure this funding from the New South Wales Government.

“I am absolutely delighted to have secured this $143,000 funding, after have made representations directly to the NSW Minister for Health and Medical Research to make this request for funding on behalf of our region,” he said.

“This funding will go towards the purchase of a Carestream 9300C 3D Digital Imaging System for the Kiama Integrated Primary and Community Health Centre.

“I would like to commend the outstanding team of allied health professionals and staff at the Kiama Integrated Primary and Community Health Centre for their continued work in providing essential primary health services to our local community.

“I was extremely pleased to be at the official opening of this great facility in March 2017 which includes dental, physiotherapy and specialist health clinics.

“The Kiama Integrated Primary and Community Health Centre is part of the Kiama Hospital Redevelopment Project, which has received a total of $8 million in funding under the New South Wales Government’s Restart NSW Illawarra Infrastructure Fund.

“As somebody who has lived in this area my whole life, I want to see our community receive the best possible, world class health services and health infrastructure which our region deserves,” Mr Ward concluded.
