Another Round of Free RSA Courses Offered To Jobseekers

Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has today announced that an extra 5,000 fee-free Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) courses are now open to workers and jobseekers to help ease hospitality staffing shortages.

Mr Ward said that the free RSA courses which are available through TAFE NSW and other registered training organisations can be completed in less than a day either online or face-to-face.

"Former hospitality workers are also encouraged to return to the sector – anyone whose RSA competency card has expired within the past two years, or will expire before 30 June, can complete a free RSA refresher course," he said.

"Thousands of people took up the opportunity to gain an RSA qualification when the first round of courses were offered in early February.

"These RSA courses have been more popular than happy hour at your local pub or club, and now the NSW Government is shouting a second round to help thousands more people get jobs.

"So whether you are a local school-leaver or looking for a career change, now is the perfect time to gain your free qualification to enter the dynamic hospitality industry,” Mr Ward said.
