$2,000 Funding Boost for Kiama and Shellharbour Tennis Association

Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has today presented $2,000 funding to representatives from the Kiama and Shellharbour Tennis Association.

Mr Ward was joined at the funding announcement with Mr Bill Summerside and Ms Wendi Burnett from the Kiama and Shellharbour Tennis Association.

“This $2,000 funding will go towards the upgrade of bathroom amenities at the McDonald Park tennis courts in Albion Park Rail,” he said.

“The Kiama and Shellharbour Tennis Association do a terrific job providing sporting opportunities for people of all ages.

“I will continue to fight for our fair share of funding to upgrade and keep improving our local sporting and recreation facilities,” Mr Ward concluded.

Mr Bill Summerside from the Kiama and Shellharbour Tennis Association also welcomed the funding announcement today.

“We would like to thank Gareth Ward for his continued support of tennis in our area.”

“The grant will be very helpful in allowing us to upgrade our toilets to be unisex and will assist us in setting up the wheelchair squad which has been in planning for a number of years,” Mr Summerside concluded.
