Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has today announced $20,000 funding for the Fairgrounds Festival in Berry from Friday 30th November to Saturday 1st December 2018 under the New South Wales Government’s Flagship Events Fund.
Mr Ward made the announcement at Berry Showground with Ashley Sellers, Festival Director.
The Festival at Berry Showground will occur on Friday 30th November: 4pm to 11pm and Saturday 1st December: 11am to 11pm.
“I am extremely pleased to have helped secure this $20,000 funding from the NSW Government which will support the Fairgrounds Festival at Berry Showground,” Mr Ward said.
“The Fairgrounds Festival will bring tourism and investment into our region which is fantastic news for Berry and our local cafes, shops and hospitality industry in Berry.
“Following the opening of the Berry bypass, backing in events like this brings more people to towns like Berry and reminds people of what so special about this beautiful town.
“The line-up is impressive for Friday 30th November and includes Vance Joy, Pond, Rolling Blackouts C.F., Saba, Body Type, Oh Pep! and Tia Gostelow.
“Saturday 1st December line-up also includes Courtney Barnett, Billy Bragg, Winston Surfshirt, The Breeders, Sampa The Great, The Teskey Brothers, Waxahatchee, Kevin Morby, Maddy Jane and Carla Geneve,” Mr Ward concluded.
