$10,000 Boost For A Taste Of Paradise Farm Near Berry

Member for Kiama Gareth Ward MP has today announced $10,000 funding to A Taste of Paradise organic farm near Berry.

Mr Ward said that he was extremely pleased to have secured this $10,000 funding from the New South Wales Government.

“This is really fantastic news for A Taste of Paradise farm because it will allow for the construction and fit out of a small staff room/reception room,” he said.

“A Taste of Paradise farm near Berry has been doing incredible work with local disadvantaged and disillusioned youth since 1999.

“As these young people take responsibility for their own actions and experience the rewards born of their own effort, they develop greater personal resilience, while learning practical agricultural skills.

“I would like to congratulate Mr Tim Francis and his dedicated team for all of the work they have done for many years and continue to do to assist disadvantaged young people in our local communities.

“I’m very pleased to have secured $10,000 funding for this reception room which will provide a comfortable new facility for the staff,” Mr Ward concluded.

Mr Tim Francis, Executive Director of A Taste of Paradise has also welcomed the funding announcement and said that it was great news for our local community and local youth.

“This project continues to exist only with great community support and the committed team of experienced and dedicated people,” he said.

“It is challenging work and caring for our team is extremely important as the farm is a very busy place where outcome expectations are high.

“A huge thank you to Gareth Ward for his ongoing support and belief in our program over many years – it is greatly appreciated,” Mr Francis said.
