Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has today advised local motorists of changed traffic conditions from next week on the Princes Highway for improvement work at multiple on and off ramps as part of the Foxground and Berry bypass project.

Mr Ward said that temporary lane closures will be in place for road resurfacing work to enable the project to open to four lanes of traffic.

“As part of this work, the Princes Highway on and off ramps will be closed between 5am and 6pm on a number of nights, weather permitting,” he said.

“The northbound Kangaroo Valley Road interchange on-ramp will be closed to traffic on Monday 16th October. Motorists will be detoured via Queen Street at the Berry northern interchange on-ramp.

“The Berry northern interchange on-ramp and off-ramp will be closed to traffic between Tuesday 17th and Friday 20th October. Motorists will be detoured via the Berry southern interchange southbound off-ramp and northbound on-ramp.

“The Austral Park Road interchange northbound highway off-ramp (access to Donovan Road and Foxground) will be closed to traffic on Friday 20th October.

“Motorists will be detoured via Belinda Street at Gerringong which may add an additional five to ten minutes of travel time.

“Access to Berry will continue to be maintained during this work.

“Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

“Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control,” Mr Ward concluded.
